Meet our Board of Directors

Kathy Pasmore
Treasurer
Kathy happily made the decision to relocate to West Kelowna from Edmonton in 2018 after retiring from teaching school for 33 years. Kathy has been very generous with volunteering her time and home (when we have in person meetings) and is committed to advocating for reasonable development.

Jo-Ann Patterson
Secretary
Jo-Ann was fortunate enough to retire in the Okanagan with her husband, Dave, 11 years ago after teaching school in Edmonton for 35 years. After extensive searching throughout the valley, West Kelowna become their chosen home. The small-town vibe, active outdoor lifestyle and yet the availability of most goods and services near home was an enormous draw, compared to the busy urban center across the bridge. After the public process, leading up to the 2017 amended OCP, it became apparent that our community needed an association to help represent our residents’ views. Jo-Ann’s goal is that as a community, we can advocate for sensitive, thoughtful development and be a voice to raise future concerns as they arise, in order to keep this the best community possible.

David Patterson
President
Born and raised in Edmonton where he practiced law and was Chair of the Police and Investigations Program at MacEwan University. He has been active in serving his community through volunteer roles over the years as a coach for various sports, and being the Chair of a community association as well as a city advisory committee in Edmonton. He and his wife, Jo-Ann, relocated to West Kelowna in 2011 choosing the small town atmosphere over the metropolitan experience of Kelowna. Dave has been an advocate for the Gellatly Bay neighbourhood for many years and prior to the GBGPCA coming into existence served as the Chair of The Pointe Gellatly Village Liaison Committee where he worked extensively with the City of West Kelowna in developing our 2017 amended Official Community Plan for Gellatly Bay.
Barry Robey Director-at-LargeAfter five years architectural training in the early 60’s at a college in London Uk, and subsequent jobs at several architectural practices, I emigrated to Calgary Ab, in 1975 with my family.
After 4 years with local architects, I started my own company to design and project manage the construction of customer’s new homes in the Calgary area.
We moved to Peachland in 2012 – then to West Kelowna in 2017 to the Pointe where I was on Strata Council for 4 years from 2017.
I’m computer savvy (Mac since day one), keen photographer and dabble in painting and classical guitar.
I recognize that, now more than ever, there are a multitude of legitimate pressures on all communities, small and large – the challenges are to find appropriate social and environmental ways forward

Advisory Positions

Nicole Waidman
Past President
Born and raised in Vancouver Nicole and her family opted to relocate to West Kelowna in 2007 and have seen the city experience tremendous growth over that time. Similar to other local area “transplants” West Kelowna was selected for it’s quaint, laid back, small town feel which offered the ideal atmosphere for raising a family. Nicole comes from a background of business and Marketing Communications and has worked in the specialized medical software field for the past two decades. As a local homeowner and resident she is dedicated to helping preserve the essence and character of our unique neighbourhood.

Bruce
Dalrymple

Trails Liaison
Bruce relocated to West Kelowna in 2007 and has been actively participating in our community ever since. He has served as the President for the Gellatly Bay Trails and Park Society since 2016 and continues to advocate for development of a safe walking and cycling trail from the Bennett Bridge to Peachland. His work has resulted in various trail improvements including the mapping of the trails at Goats Peak. Prior to retirement Bruce owned and operated a civil engineering consulting service in Penticton.
