Starting Wednesday, May 5, upgrades to approximately 250 metres of road frontage along the east side of 4025 Gellatly Road South will take place. Road frontage upgrades include the installation of underground utilities, sidewalks, curbs, bike lanes and streetlights.
This work pertains to a new private development and is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, and the possibility of some weekend work. Gellatly Road South will remain open during this 8 weeks of construction, however, residents should give themselves extra time for travel in this area as there will be traffic controls in place including reduced speed zones, sections of single-lane, alternating traffic and limited street parking.
