You have a Voice! Feedback Requested on West Kelowna’s Draft Community Vision

UPDATE: Dec. 17, 2020 – The City of West Kelowna has extended the feedback deadline to January 6, 2021!

Until December 18 January 6, 2021, we have a significant opportunity to respond to the City of West Kelowna’s DRAFT Community Vision to ensure that it truly reflects our views. There are three different ways to provide your feedback:

  1. Adventure A: DRAFT Community Vision Review (will take approximately half an hour)
  2. Adventure B: 5-Minute Focused Feedback (will take a few minutes)
  3. Adventure C: Community Circles Group Discussion (will take 2 to 3 hours)
    • Completed on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, 2020

Details on all three options can be found here.   If needed, paper copies are available by directly through the city or by request through our community association.

Although the surveys mainly consist of ratings for the various key directions, there is also plenty of opportunity for comments. In particular, page 11 of Adventure A addresses the Gellatly Bay waterfront area, as well as green spaces and recreation. Our written comments can provide important direction to guide the final City of West Kelowna Community Vision with respect to our bay.

Community Circle Discussion Groups may be challenging to host due to our current health directives to control Covid 19. However, there well may be members of our community who have the technological skills and interest to organize one of these. If so, the page most relevant to Gellatly Bay is page 13. Most importantly, please stay safe in considering this method of providing feedback.

We strongly encourage you to participate in this final stage of citizen participation for visioning our future and hope that as a community, we can keep Gellatly Bay Goats Peak as a special place to live and visit for generations to come!
